The popular National Instruments 77 GHz VRTS with the Konrad Technologies GUI offers verification of hardware and software for new radar sensors. Based on the National Instruments PXIe-5840 second-generation Vector Signal Transceiver (VST) and NI LabVIEW, an active radar-simulator, Konrad Technologies developed an editor, which allows the user to generate complex scenarios that can be automatically replayed. This editor gives testers the ability to simulate complex automotive scenarios without ever needing to go outside.
We develop high performance board test systems based on the PXI platform, which features fast computing power, fast bus systems and additional test capabilities for functional test, boundary scan test (JTAG), AOI test and RF test etc.
Aerospace Test System KT-6000 “PAUL“ is developed to meet the specific requirements of the aerospace industry. The system is designed against the backdrop of its utility as a complete system tester, that can be adapted to the respective requirements of the different units under Test (UUT) using different test adapters (TUA = Test Unit Adapter).
This RF-system is able to test products in an 868 MHz frequency range, for example radio systems, heat-cost distributors, water and heat meters. It is designed as a semi-automatic manual work station and allows parallel placement and automatic functional test of two-times two DUTs in a tandem arrangement. To guarantee a stable measuring result, the test system has two identical RF-chambers.
Assembly and Test System for Automotive Rear-View Cameras
Konrad Technologies offers a combined assembly and automated test system for automotive rear view cameras. This test system has been developed to automatically adjust the focus of a passenger car rear view camera module and align the CMOS imaging sensor in the optical axis of the lens (X-Y-Phi). This is performed by analyzing the camera picture acquiring reference marks under defined lighting conditions and imaging software from Konrad Technologies.
For a complete automated production test of various electronic assemblies and PCBs, an In-Line test system with automatic component handling was developed. The system is designed to test different products with a simple fixture kit refitting in the test cell. Typical DUTs include circuit boards for power supplies and several other electronic PCBs.
For a leading automotive supplier an RF test system for in-circuit test and subsequently functional test for a blind spot radar transmitting and receiving module has been built. This system operates in the 24 or 77 GHz range and therefore a special RF absorber chamber had to be built to determine the receiving characteristics as well as the directional receiving pattern of the antenna.
The KT-Mini-Sphere is a uniform light source based on the integrating sphere concept. Combined with precise current amps and photodiodes for internal adjustment it’s capable of accurate intensity and color correlated temperature (CCT) control. This enables testing of camera shading or finding of dirt particles (blur) or defective pixels (hot or cold)
A fully automated test system for remote keys was developed for a leading manufacturer of mechanical and electrical car locking systems. The manufacturer now has the possibility to execute durability tests for up to eight different DUTs simultaneously in a climate chamber and at different frequency ranges.
Endurance Test System for Safety Belt Pretensioners
An endurance test system has been developed for a car industry supplier; this tester was custom made for two pairs of safety belt pretensioners with continuous recoding and monitoring of electrical and mechanical values as well as CAN-messages. The endurance run is executed over a time period of up to 90 days under various climatic conditions. The climate-chamber software allows execution of different climate profiles with corresponding test sequences.
A system tester for the complete function test of ECUs was developed for a leading manufacturer of large Diesel engines. A total of three systems were developed; two of these are used in the production of PCBs and devices as End-of-Line Testers, while the third one is used in the laboratory, providing valuable information for the further development of ECUs.
Camera resolution test in confined space with accessory lens
The Camera MTF Target is designed to the targeted test specifications of the camera under test. We use state-of-the-art optical design software to achieve a high quality of the test systems and answer to requirements of target dimensions and target cost at the same time.
Konrad Technologies offers with the KT Sound & Haptics Explorer a cost effective standard solution for testing of haptic and acoustic properties of automotive interior parts, including headlight switches and turn indicator switches. The system allows manufacturer and OEM customer the optimization of their products for a maximum operational comfort.
For a large automobile supplier a universal functional test system for automotive ECUs was developed. This system allows the customer to test various "Body Electronics" ECUs on a single platform. The system is equipped with two independent drawer adapters (tandem adapters) and a corresponding fixture concept.
