We developed a test system for a landing flap lever for a leading aerospace manufacturer. The main objective of the application was the electrical and mechanical function testing including the position detection. In addition, the integrated corner sensor is selected and the absolute position of the lever is checked.
For quality assurance reasons under practical conditions, the so called Stress Screening Tests were developed for the aerospace industry. By so doing , DUTs are exposed to temperature cycles between -40°C to +85°C while shaking the DUTs along several axes. Early failures and manufacturing defects will be detected with high certainty.
This test system is a typical base setup for many applications testing automotive products, consumer electronic devices, industrial electronics solutions and medical devices.
To test the Tactical Mission Computers for the two programs Eurocopter Tiger and NH90 a system tester was implemented, based entirely on the COTS idea (commercial off the shelf).
