Are you a detailed oriented tinkerer with a passion for electronics and mechanical things? If so, we are eager to meet you! As Konrad Technologies Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring our client specific test systems. In this role you will use a variety of hand and power tools and skills for soldering and crimping wire terminations.

You will use a variety of test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electrical circuits. You are customer-focused with a deep understanding of service requirements.  A self-starter, able to hit deadlines and contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings for wire routing and panel layout.
  • Production document control, red-lines (mark-ups) for as-built drawings.
  • Ensure assembled system mechanical elements meet all form, fit, & function design criteria.
  • Work with engineering staff to ensure products perform to design criteria.
  • Provide technical and/or design guidance to Systems Engineers to communicate product manufacturability issues.
  • Offer guidance to Design Engineers on electrical distribution and/or mechanical component layout to achieve system design optimization.
  • Maintain command of assigned components and organization of work area.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model to engineering instruction.
  • Perform product quality assurance final inspection.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in using manual or automated crimping, hand and power tools for drilling,sanding, and assembly.
  • Able to read and red line electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Experience in soldering and panel wiring with emphasis on shielded cable/wiring
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • HighSchool Diploma or equivalent with 3 + years relevant work experience
  • Associates degree or 5+ year experience in:  Instrumentation, Controls Technology, or Electrical Technology (Preferred)
  • IPC /WHMA – A-620 Certification or other comparable certification (Preferred)
  • IPC /A-610 Certification (Preferred)
